An Isogeometric Boundary Element Method for 3D lifting flows using T-splines

In this paper an Isogeometric Boundary Element Method for three-dimensional lifting flows based on Morino’s (Morino and Kuo, 1974) formulation is presented. Analysis-suitable T-splines are used the representation of all boundary surfaces unknown perturbation potential approximated by same T-spline basis geometry. A novel numerical application so-called Kutta condition introduced that utilises advantages isogeometric analysis with regard to smoothness trailing edge curve functions. The method shows good agreement existing experimental results superior behaviour when compared a low order panel method. effect tip singularity also investigated different levels refinement positions collocation points.
